Introduction :
Students can relate the best to this poem.
During pre-Covid times, almost every school held assemblies to commemorate an event or in some schools it had been a daily routine.
Most of them are held outdoors and this is a massive downside of assemblies because it makes paying attention very hard due to the discomfort of the scorching sun and resulting perspiration.
This poem is about an assembly I attended because it was way too “amazing” to not be shared.
“Amazing assembly”
Oh! We had an amazing assembly,
It was fun to put it simply!
It had rained yesterday,
And the scorching sun shines today
Because of which our bottoms are wet
And we have a burnt head.
The dew on the grass
Smile at us in mass
And I think- I’m gonna pass
Out because of my head-ache.
My head spins
Like inside it are a thousand pins
And while the teacher talks
My fatigue locks
My common sense, so I don’t really care
Because I wanna run away
To my house and sleep like all is okay.
So now you see
We had such an amazing assembly.
