Sadness

Introduction :

Sorrow, dejection, despair, desolation, misery, or in layman’s terms- sadness- is inevitable.

It is going to reoccur in your life and it’s going to be that one unwanted guest who refuses to leave. You cannot do anything to prevent that.

But what you can do is fight against that cold and bleak sadness to convert it to warm and teeming happiness.

“Sadness”

They feel so cold on my cheeks,
So transparent and just so light
Considering my pain’s heavy burden and might.
I’m feeling angry at my own optic leeks.

I keep on thinking-“Why is it always me?
Why can’t it be some other
To go through this misery and suffer?”
And I know that to think that is evil of me.

But what can I do? Every single time is the same,
And when I try to run away
The sadness chases me to ruin my day
And I have no one but myself to blame.

Do hearts always break?
Do tears always come?
Or to avoid such situations I’m just too dumb?
Will I ever feel like everything is not at stake?

Will things change?
Yes, yes…they will.
I just have to keep my hope unwavering and still
Or else I will forever be on this blank page.

I won’t just sit around
And cry myself to sleep all over again
Nope, I‘m going to go out to the battleground
And fight to cease this pain.
