So much more

Introduction :

Love is always seen as a positive emotion. But sometimes people overlook the pain and destruction it leaves when is it is gone.

These lyrics are about when you thought you would get the brighter, happier, captivating, and magical side of love but end up with so much more than that (and not the good kind).

“So much more”

(Verse-1)
In the perfect world,
His/her words won’t be bolts from the blue,
This crossword of love would have clues.
In the perfect world,
Our ship would’ve sailed safely to the shore,
The empty seat beside mine wouldn’t feel like a black hole.

(Pre-chorus)
But he/she turned out to be
A wolf in sheep’s clothing,
A demon looking like a dream.

(Chorus)
These are the worst days.
I’m getting shadowed in my own spotlight.
I’m losing in my own fight.
I feel like I’m brain dead.
I’ve forgotten my role in this play
I’m seeing storm clouds in the middle of the day.

(Verse-2)
In the perfect world,
I wouldn’t be walking on eggshells,
The air around me wouldn’t be fragile.
In the perfect world,
He/she would be beside me till the end of numbers,
Seeing him/her would make me happy, not nervous.

(Pre-chorus)
He/she helped me stand and walk
Then pushed me down with sweet-talk.

(Chorus)
These are the worst days.
I’m getting shadowed in my own spotlight.
I’m losing in my own fight.
I feel like I’m brain dead.
I’ve forgotten my role in this play
I’m seeing storm clouds in the middle of the day.

(Post-chorus)
I was staying with you for love
But I got so much more
And not the nice kinda more.

(Bridge)
Sun kissed skin.
I can see how jolly you’ve been.
Sun-bright smile,
Makes my tongue taste bile.
Cuz since your betrayal, all this time
I’ve been on the brink of sanity
And you’ve been enjoying.

(Exit)
Just wanted someone to be with,
Just wanted love
But damn, I got so much more
And not the nice kinda more.
