Let me in

Introduction :

These lyrics share the theme of trust issues with “What if they…?” However, these are from the perspective of the person seeing his/her friend suffer.

The lyrics acknowledge the agony and affliction that is the consequence of trusting the wrong person but also plead with the person to not assume everyone to be heartless and to open their heart to his/her friend.

“Let me in”

(Verse-1)
This world is dangerous
Full of haters and traitors.
So many times you’ve been hurt
That now you are always on the watch, always alert.

(Pre-Chorus)
Like a paper napkin-
They use you and then forget about you
Almost like you were a sin.

(Chorus)
But I’m not like them, trust me.
Let me in, let me heal
What they broke.
Let me in,
Let me in, darling

(Verse-2)
Don’t keep it bottled up in heart,
Don’t keep me in the dark,
Don’t hide in silence anymore
When you wanna scream your throat sore.

(Pre-Chorus)
Let the tears out and
Let me in.

(Chorus)
I’m not like them, trust me.
Let me in, let me heal
What they broke.
Let me in,
Let me in, darling

(Bridge)
Show me the fears you’re hiding.
Show me the tears you’re secretly wiping.
Tell me how much you haven’t seen eating.

Let me be your mirror,
Let me show you what’s real.
Let them say what they wanna
We’ll just leave their fate to karma.

Listen…

(Chorus)
Let me in, let me heal
What they broke
Let me in (please)
Let me in darling
Please let me in.
